TOSSA DE MAR
20 minutes drive
Because it is lovely and close by, Tossa de Mar is a must-see. A charming fishing village with an ancient Romanesque walled-in area with defence towers located on a promontory looking out over the sea. Narrow streets and outstanding restaurants, including La Cuina de Can Simon, which has one Michelin star.

BARCELONA
1 hour drive
The capital of Catalonia, Barcelona is a world-class city. It is a major port-of-call for cruises around the Mediterranean. Stroll along the famous Ramblas, with its flower stalls and the Liceo opera house, or visit the Gothic Quarter and the cathedral. See the Sagrada Familia, the unfinished church by visionary Antoni Gaudi, as well as his other brilliant works of architecture such as Park Güell, Casa Batlló — and La Pedrera on Paseo de Gracia, the avenue boasting international boutiques alongside legions of shops of all kinds. The city is brimming with museums, including the Picasso Museum and the National Museum of Catalonia, the latter with the Magic Fountain at its feet, which becomes a stunning light and sound show at night. See the famous Camp Nou, where Barca football club plays, and while you're there, visit the Barca museum. Another must-see is Montjuic mountain, the home to the Olympic facilities. From there you can catch outstanding views of the city and its harbour.

GIRONA
35 minutes drive
This lovely city is a good bet for whoever wants to make an interesting outing without venturing too far. The city of Girona just beckons you to stroll through the singular streets in its old quarter, the Jewish Quarter and the cathedral with its striking stairway. Gaze on the houses on the banks of the Onyar river and the Eiffel bridge, and walk along its Rambla, where you'll find all kinds of shops and businesses.

DALI THEATRE MUSEUM

This is unquestionably Salvador Dali's greatest work. Here you can see the vast scope of the works from the artist's entire career, ranging from his earliest artistic experiences to the works dating from the last years of his life.

SALVADOR DALI HOUSE MUSEUM CADAQUES AND PORT LLIGAT
1 hour and 15 minutes drive
This outing traverses the lovely Empordˆ landscape with its Cap de Creus nature park en route to one of the most iconic villages on the Costa Brava, Cadaqués. This tiny village and its surroundings have served as inspiration for thousands of artists, including Salvador Dali, who set up home here along with his wife, Gala, in the bay of Port Lligat, where you can visit the home where they lived.

GALA DALI CASTLE - Púbol
1 hour and 15 minutes drive
For years this mediaeval castle in the hamlet of Púbol was the home to artist Salvador Dali's wife, Gala, and later his own home. Inside, the house harbours paintings and drawings that Dali gave to his wife, along with a collection of Gala's haute couture gowns and the furnishings and items that the couple handpicked to decorate the castle.

CALELLA DE PALAFRUGELL, LLAFRANC AND TAMARIU

Three precious beaches located one right after the other which reflect the beauty and identity of the Costa Brava, and which even today justify its international fame dating from the early 20th century.

L'ESCALA - EMPURIES
1 hour drive
An ancient fishing village located in a privileged spot on the Costa Brava. The Greeks were the first settlers. They arrived here by sea and founded the city of Empuries, which currently houses the Archaeology Museum of Catalonia, with its spectacular Greek and Roman ruins.

MONTSERRAT
1 hour and 45 minutes drive
Its name means craggy mountain, and it originates in the unique beauty of this rocky outcropping which stands out from its environs with the whimsical shapes that nature has carved into its mountains. Nestled among these rocks is a Benedictine monastery founded almost one thousand years ago, along with the sanctuary of Our Lady of Montserrat, the "black virgin" who is also the patron saint of Catalonia. These sites can be reached either by train or by cable car. The "Virolai" sung by the monastery's boys choir is the highlight of this visit. Please check timetables.

SANT SADURNI D'ANOIA - CAVAS CODORNIU
1 hour and 30 minutes drive
Take a tour of this world-famous cava (sparkling wine) producer and its vineyards.

BESALU
1 hour drive
A charming mediaeval village famous for its Romanesque bridge and for housing the oldest known Jewish baths. Besalu was originally a fortress located between two rivers. In 1966 it was officially declared an Historical-Artistic Complex due to its invaluable architecture.

SANTA CLOTILDE GARDENS - Fenals beach
10 minute walk
A marvellous botanical garden with varieties of plants alongside sculptures, both with the Mediterranean as their backdrop.

MAR Y MURTRA GARDENS - Blanes
15 minutes drive
An important botanical garden located on top of a mountain overlooking the town and port of Blanes.

A variety of crafts, including glass-bottom boats, take tours along the beaches and towns near Fenals. Non-stop outings every day.

CATAMARAN SENSATION - Blanes port
15 minutes drive
Sailing and fun onboard a fantastic catamaran. Four-hour outings every day, including a cook-out and activities such as snorkelling, air mattresses, floating trampolines, slides, etc.
